Tuesday Club

The Tuesday Club is for Senior Citizens and was founded in 1996. They meet every second Tuesday (hence the name!) from10pm to 12.30pm and they organise a range of activities including cards, 'gentle' excercise classes, indoor bowls etc. and of course have plenty of chat to keep up to date with what is going on in the area. In the summer they organise short coach trips to gardens and places of historic interest which create the opportunity for a lot of fun and enjoyment. Last summer they visited Slane Castle and Belledere House, Westmeath and also went on a boat trip on the Liffey. They organise a pilgrimage to Knock every year and have a party at Christmas. The club has approximately 30 members and is growing in popularity having members from several of the surrounding villages. Everyone is welcome and any new members or even people just wanting to come and check out the 'Craic' should contact Margaret Donnelly on 01-8354107 or Sheila Elliott on 01-8354603.
